Today's question is:
I don't have certain genres for certain moods, but my habits certainly change based on my moods, I will quite often take a break from a book if I am not in the mood for it, reading something else, then going back to the original book when I am in the mood. Sometimes when I'm feeling down I like to read a depressing book (for 2 reasons, sometimes it will make me cry and feel better, but mostly because it makes me realise my life is good and nothing is that bad!). Sometimes I'm feeling a bit meh, so I'll read something nice and fluffy that I don't have to concentrate on.
Today's question is:
Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?

Happy Friday, Lovely!
New follower, sad books are good for a cry if you need it, great answer, thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteHAHA! That's a great reason to want to read sad books. I always find myself comparing me to other characters, and then I realise, "Well wait. They're completely fictional!" and then I get gloomy again, haha :D I totally get what you mean about all of it though :)

The amount of reading that I do tends to depend more on if my husband is home or not. If he is away for work, the tv stays off and I go on a reading binge!

New Follower.
Fiction is so much better than fact! That's why it's so nice to get lost in books. New follower from FF. You can find me at: http://todayinshenaya.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. I often start books, and then soon find out I'm not in the mood for them and put them down. Not because I don't like them, I'm just not into them at that point.

Great answer this week and I totally agree :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and thanks for stopping by my follow Friday!
Makes sense, but I hate to cry. Thanks for stopping by, and I am an old email follower!
ReplyDeleteI'm the opposite. My reading habits don't change unless I'm reading a book I don't like, but I do pick my genre/books based on my mood.
